I have not been able to post for several days. In the last few places we have stayed, they had Wi-Fi but it would barely sent & receive text. That would be why I have very few links in recent posts.
Fort Nelson, BC to Laird River Prov. Park, 188 very tuff mile with lots of 9% x 5 mile grades. This was complicated for us, when we pulled into a rest area ON THE TOP of one of the steepest ‘Hills’, we found that our electrical connector {Trailer Brakes and lights} was demolished. Our Tail gunner was about 1 hour behind us. Several of ‘our’ rigs pulled in and much tour surprise and delight Dave& Diane Trumble Enfield Connecticut had the exact spare part we needed. What more, he had carried it for 4,000 and had no earthly use for it, as he has a motorhome and this is a trailer specific part. Sorry, no pictures it was too hectic to get them. After the repairs and thank-you’s all around, Anne-Marie note that our camper’s voltage was low. I checked it and found it to be borderline low, an omen of bad things to come!
During a long wait for Construction work {They tend to shut down one lane for a few miles}, we were entertained by these Snow Sheep. Note the STEEP hill on the left, that is how they arrived.
Goat = Funny
Fuel Cost = Oh Shit
On arrival at the Provincial Park {no water or electric hook-ups} we discovered that our power feed from Batteries to the fuse box was corrupted. Some type of reaction to the damaged wires a few hours earlier? This meant no nothing as soon as the sun went down at about 10:00pm here. Huge swarms of gigantic mosquitoes formed to help me with my trouble shooting. I gave up after a few frustrating hours and my neighbors allowed me to run the generator for a few hours.
Footnote: Don’t be concerned, I made several ‘adjustments’ and towed to Watson Lake, Yukon with no incidents.
