North Rim of Grand Canyon 2013

We moved from the South Rim {A}to the North Rim (at Jacob’s Lake, AZ)  The Canyon is about 20 miles wide at this point, we had to drive 210 miles to make the trip.  In the area of the Canon we are at 7,000 feet with 80° day time temperature.  In the area of ‘Tuba City’ we were in the desert at 96°.

A minor grief we have discovered is that our Boliy Generator is not happy over 5,000 feet.  It struggles with a too rich Mixture, low power and BLACK smoke.  I’ve ordered the ‘High Altitude’ jet which should fix the problem.

We first noted this problem last week while we were at Ten-X campground on the Southern Rim.  My 1st thought was that it was caused by old fuel since we have been living off the solar panels.

We are moving on today towards Teutonia, Utah where we will stop for a few days and reconnoiter The Grand Tetons.
