Following the Chuck Wagon races, the main stretch of the race track was transformed into a stage area complete with special effects lighting, smoke and fireworks. The show went on for several hours, ending with a huge firework display. note in the picture on the right that there are some cables overhead. These are used to present special effects such as the singer in the suspended cage. Soon we will se a man playing piano and several young ladies singing.
We were presented with the reprise of the 70s group The Canadians. There was also a KISS tribute band and several huge stage shows which used literally hundred's of performers.
Our evening ended at 12:30 when we got back to camp. We were very tired and groaned as we were reminded that we had to be out of the campground by 10:00 the following morning as the next group in was due at noontime.
No problem, wakening up at 7:00am after a 1:00 bed time right? Not for this fellow, my attitude was not improved when we had to tear down in heavy rain!
WE drove to Baniff Provincial Park where we will stay for 2 days in our first view of The Canadian Rockies.
