We arrived at Mill Creek Campground and I made a newbie mistake, parked under an oak tree during acorn season. Thump, Bang, Boing all night long.
Hope you can see the unique decorations on the gutter of this house. They need a few more frying pans to finish it off!
Anne-Marie is seen here with Woody.
We made a day trip to the Packard Museum, you can find random photos here. The cars were nicely displayed with interesting histories.
How about this for a surprise in the road? In this case, size matters if it’s a Blimp ‘Garage’ in Akron Ohio.
On the left, this is our view from the campsite.
Severe drought has caused to lake to be very low. As with most C.O.E. operated campgrounds, this one has no water or sewage to the sites. This is to discourage dumping waste on the ground which would pollute the lake. We use the park showers and facilities which are clean and fill most of our needs. Our rig has large tanks to allow us to park 7 days before we have to dump. That is about a 1 hour process which we schedule into a nice day.
Day trip to Mentor, Ohio to see the James A. Garfield museum. I have just finished a biography of the very interesting and principled President.
We will continue west into Celina, Ohio where we will attend a rally held by the author of ‘The Gypsy Journal’, from there we head to Salina, Mo for the 2012 Escapade. Than, back to Connecticut for a mid-October visit for 2 weeks.
