Yuma Rambling

Spring has sprung here.  Temperature are in the low 70’s, you need the blankets at night as mid-40’s will occur.

Sometimes, it gets silly here.  Today a very large camper, pulled by a HUGE truck came into the park.  The driver got a quick lesson when he buried all wheels in the sand, 500hp would not move him!  2012-01-29_12-31-01_209

His call of distress was answered by a Ginomous truck with a stout chain.  Alas all the efforts failed as the second truck simply spun his wheels also

The 2 humongous trucks and the camper were rescued by ‘The Little Engine that Could’,  A Ford Pickup dragged them all out.2012-01-29_12-54-33_778

Some of us were so exhausted that we had to retire to a local flea market to recover.  An open flea market with decent food, cold draft beer and a fellow strumming his guitar is a good idea when you have nowhere else to be.2012-01-28_14-49-58_8452012-01-28_14-51-34_400

Our next stop will be at Organ Pipe National Park in Arizona.  There, we will group up with others in our caravan to prep for our trip to Mexico.  There are draconian penalties that preclude controlled drugs and/or any type of firearms.  Alcohol is limited to “4 Bottles”, this can be beer or liquor, I think I’ll be leaving the Sam Adams here
